| There is a building here called the Phaelan building.
Every time I see it I think about Tony yelling "Fat Lun!!!" (but sounding like ("Fae Lun!!") after climbing out of the river gorge during Action Asia Sai Kung. |

| Gabi and I finally moved in to our apartment in San Francisco. Its really great here - I think we're going to enjoy it. But I look around some times and wonder, is this Hong Kong or the US? I walk down the street and hear more Cantonese than English. Some advertisements are only in Chinese. Its humid and surrounded by water. Its actually a great feeling, it reminds both of us of good times. Now that we have unpacked everything and put it all away my next important task is... to find some good BBQ Pork!
Come visit us soon! |

| Just got back from 4 days in San Francisco. It took almost that entire time to find an apartment. But we're happy with our new place. (p.s. - If anyone would like to come visit we have plenty of room for you to sleep on the couch!) The neighborhood we're moving into has a strong Chinese community. Lots of chinese restaurants. Lots of Cantonese. It makes us miss Hong Kong.
Hope all is well. |

| Gabi's bike was stolen last week. We kept in the underground garage of our apartment building, and normally kept it locked up with my bike. But when I had to ride my bike to school one day I took the lock and left Gabi's unlocked. Three hours later when I came back it was gone. Just three hours in a private garage. I felt terrible for leaving it unlocked, but I never thought it would get stolen out of our garage, which only residents of our building are supposed to have access to, and in such a short window of time. It made us feel uneasy about living in our building to think that either one of the residents in our building is a criminal or criminals have easy access to our building. I don't know which is worse. Either way, having something stolen from you feels terrible. Fredy knows this all too well. Everything else is good though. 5 more weeks of class! |
